The Great Cluster in Hercules (M13)

The Great Globular Cluster in Hercules, M13. It is comprised of approximately 300,000 densely packed stars, located about 25,000 light years away. The galaxy in the bottom left corner is much further at about 45 million light years, and the small galaxy about halfway between is still further at nearly 500 million light years away from us.
